The Healthy Ulster County Network team constantly searches the web for healthy recipe ideas to share with our community. It also invites you to share a healthy family recipe that you've created or one that you may have found online. If you'd like to submit a healthy recipe, please read the guidelines and fill out the form below. Check back on this page often to discover new, healthy and delicious meals that you and your family and friends can enjoy.

Guidelines

Healthy Ulster County recipes should follow these guidelines: (1) Include: (a) 600 calories or less per serving (b) Less than 30% calories from fat (c) Less than 10% of calories from saturated fat (d) 600 mg of sodium or less (2) Include: (a) Lean protein (e.g., white meat poultry, lean beef, pork, fish or other seafood, tofu, beans, eggs and/or soy) (b) At least 1 serving (1/2 cup) of non-starchy vegetables and/or fresh fruit (e.g.,broccoli,spinach, cabbage, brussels sprouts, dark leafy greens, carrots, squash, peppers. These are not hard and fast rules and there is flexibility. You can substitute items. Be creative, do your best and we will evaluate your submission and contact you if we have any questions.
