Excellent for community organizations and clubs, and anyone with an interest in understanding the true benefits of hospice care. Advance Directives - A discussion on the need to be prepared in case you are unable to make your own medical decisions. Maintain control over your treatment and care by understanding the various forms available and how and when to use them. “Consider the Conversation” - An inspiring 60 minute documentary film on communication and preparation for end-of-life. May be combined with Hospice Overview or Advance Directives. Managing Grief Around the Holidays - A Hospice bereavement support social worker will tailor this talk to suit the audience: adult, teen, child, or facility staff. Understanding Grief - There is no one size fits all when it comes to grieving the loss of a loved one. This talk focuses on the different ways in which people cope with and heal from loss. Spirituality in Caregiving and at the End of Life - Whether you practice a formal religion or not, this talk will explore ways to find your own spiritual support and strength.
